About the Owner

Jerry was raised in the most rural parts of California and he was taught from a very early age to love and respect animals. Throughout his life he has worked with dogs, cats, horses, pigs, cows and chickens. He has a wealth of knowledge about animal husbandry.

Jerry raised three children of his own and now as a retired grandfather he is able to fulfill his dream to once again live in the country and work with the animals that he loves. Jerry lives on site at the kennel and enjoys the constant contact that he is able to have with your pet.

One of his three personal pets, Maddie, will likely welcome you upon your arrival to the kennel, just as she has done for the past eight years. Jerry makes a point of remembering each of his guests and their owners and cares about the special needs and personalities of each pet.

A visit to Jerry at Botkin Kennels is truly a visit to Grandpa's house!
